I have been tempted to buy one of the combination rifle/shotguns that Trade Ex has. Has anyone bought one of the BRNO or Valmet combo guns? I'd be interested in hearing any feedback that you have regarding quality, scope mounting options as well as availability of reloading components for the .22 HP, 5.6x52r. I don't really need one but keep going back to them as they'd be a great side by side or truck gun.

I have several and find them quite handy. My favorite is a BRNO 7x57 over 12 gauge with the BRNO specific QD rail and rings. It shoots quite consistent groups of 1 3/4" with factory S&B 173 gr. ammunition. The 5.6x52r is an odd ball because of the .228 diameter bullets. If you can get a supply of brass and bullets go for it. Sometimes different barrel combinations come up for sale and most of the BRNO's are interchangeable. If you are going to get one from Trade Ex pick one with the set trigger. (much nicer). Good luck

I have a Brno ZH-304, 7x57R/12ga. In addition, I also have a set of skeet barrels. Where it comes in handy:) is on some of those wet and windy days, walking old river bottom skid roads where you're just as likely to run into a Blacktail as you are a Ruff Grouse. You don't need many 7x57R shells but I lucked into a small stash of that brass at a local gun show years back so I'm good to go for what I'll ever need.
