Hello,
I have searched high and low. A few things I learned:
On the BRNO ZG47, I know that the two numbers I saw at the chamber part of barrel means the manufacturer date (57 meaning - 1957). I also saw at top of barrel infront of chamber a number which is the serial number I am quite sure.
It is a 270 Win. Thing is, I have seen many pictures of this model and mine is totally different than any picture seen, mine has two diamond checkerings on the bolt side with a cheek peice. What is the significance of this model with the diamond checkerings? Custom work by manufacturer? I am South East Canada. Ohh, and the rifle has ABSOLUTELY no scratches, dings or flaws, glossy, no rust, fires like a charm, action is phenomenal. What more can you tell me of this peice? The kind of wood used? How rare it is? Is it valuable enough to get insured?
Thanks,
The Pauper
