Good day all, I just got my self a Brno ZH304 7x57r over 2 3/4” 12 gauge and a set of zh301 12 over 12 barrels. I wanted to know if anyone knew what were the chokes on all those shot gun barrels? I can’t seem to find any marking indicating the chokes!!

Concerning the Brno 7x57R/12ga, I've posted this on other threads and other sites. The primary intended use is for here on the ;) 'wet coast' on some of our :) 'damp windy' days when hunting on old local logging skid roads in river bottem areas where you're just as likely to run into a Ruff Grouse as you are a Blacktail Deer.

Nice gun for sure. I’ve got a 305 in 5.6x52R/12. Shoots nice groups at 100yards, about 2 inches for 5 shots. Shots do walk as barrel heats. Built like a tank, albeit a little heavy.
 
I couldn't resist picking up a 7x57r over 12g Brno zh304 from intersurplus. I see they have shotgun barrel sets too for like $250, but not sure I would use them much. Looking forward to shooting this one, hope it's good! Anyone have input on scope mounts? I ordered a weaver style rail mount from tradex but not sure if it's gonna be good or junk

This is what I got after seeing the one mounted on Ted’s(Whynot?) zh304, he sent me the link and I ordered rights way! My zh304 came with a Zeiss scope mounted on a Brno scope rail but I had to send it to Trace for repair(don’t ask) so in the mean time I needed a scope mount to put on it…. I have the one from tradex. Works well but not the quick release option to give you access to the open sites… Even with QD rings, the rail sits too high to see the sites. That option by DGY looks awesome! May have to pick one up. BTW, I bought mine from Tradex for under $500. The gun is fantastic value for what you get comparing to a Savage 42…. Or even the 24s….

The Kozap mounts are excellent. I have one on my Brno Effect single shot. Zozap are the "factory" Brno bases.

I have two sets of 12GA barrels for the same BRNO combination gun if you know anyone interested. Have never used them, yet.

Thanks for the link, I ordered 1. I think quick detach is a great option for these guns!

I mounted a Leupold 4X shotgun scope on mine. It came with a heavy duplex reticle, and works like a charm with both barrels. No problem at all to hammer a six inch gong at 200 meters with 175 gr RN ahead of 44gr Re19 and magnum primers.

Now waiting for another one of the same mounts to come, but with 26mm rings for an old Pecar scope.

I have a BRNO 301 7x57 over 12 gauge and managed to find a factory QD mount. It comes off in a flash and re mounts exactly every time to previous setting. I got tired of testing it but it always shoots the same.

That factory one looks great!! The one that came with my rifle
Is different, not as quick to detach and there is a Carl Zeiss 6x mounted on it with out rings(rail system)and there is a see through feature that is quite nice and doesn’t bring the scope too high like on most see through I’ve see before! The reason I ordered the one I did is because I have other scopes to play with!
 
Guys who order from optics trade; do you pay the 100 dollar shipping and get it with no issues?

Has anyone ever ordered optics from them?
