iam thinking about selling this to make some room for new purchases,,it is in very good condition, double set triggers,5 round magazine, serial number 07294 which might help with aging it,, two flip up rear sights ,,i have googled and the prices are all over the place, any help would be appreciated

Chris I even see them selling in fair shape for $1100, crazy if you ask me! I would pay no more than $900 max, I bought a brand new CZ 527 FS 22 Hornet for $940 tax in! But if yoy want a vintage Hornet the ZKW 465 is a real nice gun, just hard finding extra magas or rear sights that seem to always be missing.
Last year I bought a ZKW 1949 vintage with a factory Meotpa scope and mount for $900, so there are deals still out there if you are willing to wait! cheers Dale Z!

I find the 900-1100 estimates a little on the high side... it would have to be near mint for it to be worth that much to me. Asking prices at the gun shows around here tend to be in the 6-650 range, and I've seen them as low as 450. Like gunrunner said, condition is everything.

I agree... $600-$700 in good condition is a fair price.... just because some noob online buys one for $1500 doesn't mean that is a realistic fair value.

it has a 49 there on the left hand side,,another thing i noticed was the front sight is removable with a button to change to a different height one, which i think is a very good idea,,

I would buy all I could at $450 . Try me.

I have seen extremely nice, unmolested older ones go for up to $1200.

Quality and vintage is everything for pricing - like always

Are they .223 or .224 bore ? I had a Sako and a Savage that were smaller and wouldn't shoot worth a hoot with anything larger.......Harold

Any .223 Hornet I have had shot fine with .224 bullets... but if they don't there are still .223 bullets made... $650 is a fair list price in good condition.

Good job... releasing a nice weapon to an appreciative shooter... guns are for shooting, otherwise they are just sticks.

All BRNO 22 Hornet are .223 bore, even my new CZ 527 Hornet is .223 bore, and I really never shot much .223 bullet, mostly shot .224 40-55 grain bullets without harm and not bad accurracy.

Glad to see your Hornet go to another to be enjoyed!!!

Dale Z!
