Thats about 1/2 price if its in very good shape. Models come in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Model 3 and 4 are the target models with heavy barrels and long barrels. Often come with receiver sights. Dates of manufacture are on the side of the barrel and receiver/ 56 would be made in 1956. If you go to www.rimefirecentral and the CZ section , do a search or look up any posts by brnoman you'll learn alot----Cowboy

I agree, that's a great price. I've got a model 3 and like it very much. Very accurate, bolt smooth as butter and adjustable trigger. These are big heavy well made rifles. I'm guessing but I'd say mine weights 10 pounds with scope.

Hey, guys, I've got a line on a Brno 22LR. I believe it's a ZKM-456 LUX, but might be a 452 Deluxe, based on year of purchase and description. I work with the guy and his guns are mint. He's asking $300.00. Sounds good to me, eh? Waddaya think?

I have a CZ452 LUX, and according to the reg. cert its a 452-2E-ZKM. The LUX has a walnut stock with checkering on the grip, but not on the forend. If the stock is not checkered, its a "Standard". On both the lux and standard, the stock is a European sporting type (lots of drop at the heal, not a monte-carlo) with a thin schnable-type forend.

Retail new is about $425-450 in Ontario, so that's not a bad price.

Thanks, guys.
Turns out it's the 452 Deluxe with upgraded sights! (Sorry, Calum, it's sold - to moi!)
Same gun as yours, skeet.
btw, this is a birthday gift for my 12 year old daughter's 13th b-day. I think a few people will envy her at the range!

I think your daughter is a very lucky girl. Oddly, I bought mine for the very same reason. My daughter is only 5, but I can dream.:)

She'll get there before you know it! Get her a slingshot, if nothing else...

What a great dad!
Awwww, shucks. The same sentiment was offered by skeet.
I didn't push the issue with her. I let her choose her path and she chose the right one... ;)

Does anyone here know how the Savage Mark II heavy-barrelled models perform compared to the CZ452s? Savage now makes them with Accutrigger and I'm tempted as hell to get one.

Go for it, then post a review here! :) I've been wondering myself.....

(if you don't like it, you can always sell it in the equipment exchange...)
