Finally connected this morning on a young coyote. A buddy came down early and we connected on the second set, nice 75 yard shot broadside. My buddy is quite impressed with my 204, didn`t tear it up like his 22-250, makes life simpler when skinning. We had two more coming in on another set but the wind picked up and they busted us. Makes winter go a little easier when you can smell some gun powder.:D

Well actually my buddy asked if i want to go ice fishing with him and the misses after Xmas. Hunt coyotes on the way to the lake then catch supper. Not a bad day any way you look at it.

Make sure those coyotes are stopped, broadside and posing. And only one shot allowed.
...that would be the best scenario. Occasionally with a nice quiet rifle like the lowly 222, a second will run in a circle not knowing what has happened to it's mate or quite what...or where the shot came from. Now thats cool. Once your busted though, they speed off with con trails behind them.
