so this is a first for me, I've got a few Tanfo mags with split lips, and had the laser cut bodies break and all that, but never ripped the basepad lips off before.
to be fair, this mag (and all of my mags) get super abused, so I don't think this mag has failed to live up to expectation in the least bit. My mags all hit cement every week, lots and lots of times. I do almost all of shooting on indoor ranges, or at least on ranges with cement shooting areas. Only competitions happen on grass, sand, wood chips etc. I'm truly surprised it didn't happen sooner. I've broken plenty of basepads, Beretta, Glock, Sig, CZ before, and mag lips on all the previous too.

Well its been used in two guns with a combined total of about 90,000 rounds through them. Its one of 7 mags I use regularly, although its also usually one of the ones that's at the front of my belt more often, so it would have been used slightly more often. Every mag change it hits the floor. With very very rare occasions where I'd do a tactical mag change or a top up. Its probably hit the floor 4-5000 times. Since when I do reload drills its with downloaded mags, or filled with dummy mags and done at home. Hell probably more than that actually as the dry fire home drills would double or triple the round count had they been live ammo.
One of my new G19 mags lasted 9 range trips before the base pad broke off and one of my 17 mags I used in my 19 broke the feed lips completely inside a year of usage. And not very hard usage as the 19 doesn't see a lot of rounds through it.
