I had it threaded for a tactical bolt knob. It was working good until sunday. The knob fell apart, the thread snaped. Now I can see something like an air bubble in the handle.

Long story short, who could sell me and weld me a tactical style bolt handle (not the knob)? One like the PTG that as a threaded end for me to screw a bolt knob.

Thanks for your time!

Good luck. This is an issue in Canada.

I suggest you contact Dlask Arms in Vancouver or Corlanes (site sponsor). These need to be silver soldered, although i am aware that some guys ate TIG welding them too.

There is a fella in this board who is I believe is a distributor for Pacific Tool and Gauge. Here is a thread of his in the EE. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=538148

Maybe send him a PM and see if he can get a handle for you...... but you'll still need someone to attach it.

I'm unsure if any regulation would come into play, BUT ..... there is a fellow in Alaska who does exactly what your looking for, just ship him your bolt he'll weld on the handle of your choice.

Call Dave at Jenningsoutdoorsports dot com. He does tons of these for a large box retailer that sends him the warranty gunsmithing. Bolt handles are the Achilles heel of the Remmy. That and perhaps the trigger/safety issue...

The trigger/safety issue is a non issue. It's a myth lawyers like to try and exploit.

The US had very recent changes and PTG can not longer export 'gun parts' without import/export paperwork. No changes regarding tools.

They have set up a Canadian dealer to handle this.

Assuming that the break wasn't too far up the shank, an extension could be welded on, and the large knob fitted to that.
It would be necessary to keep the handle/bolt body area cool, of course.
This could be tried first, and if it didn't work out, the whole handle could be replaced.
