Today while we were hunting my dad fell on his rifle. The stock broke in half just below the bolt handle. Is this something that can be fixed or does anybody know where a replacement stock could be found? it would need to be just like the original, synthetic is not an option. Hopefully I'm asking in the right section. Thank you

Do a search on the EE under parts and accessories for hunting and sporting arms,I do see them on there from time to time, or place a WTB ad, some guys have likely swapped theirs out for a synthetic.
You could also try Western Gun Parts in Edmonton but that route will probably be the most pricey.

Got the AV and was trying to update, but no one seems to make a stock for the old, but still lovely, gal. Best advice I got was that a Howa stock could be made to work, but nobody was willing to say for sure. Boyd makes those for a reasonable price.

Try boyds the sako l61r finnbear should work same action. I got one for a sako AIII and all is good. The tang is longer on the AV but the boyds will work with minimal work and a bed job. Hope this helps. Other than that you are out of luck unless you can fin a used one.
