I have a Brono 22 target gun made likely around 91. It is very accurate but when I clean the bore, the first three shots are way off. Then as I continue to shoot it gets it accuracy back. Few others have told me this is not uncommon, just wondered why?

You have to foul the barrel. Lots of guns are not accurate with all that oil in the barrel.
Mine's the same way...
I just gave it a good cleaning (I think I got dirt out of the rifle that's been there since 1957!)... and it won't get its really good accuracy back for about 100 rounds... knowing this, I don't really clean it more than twice or 3 times per year (assuming I don't get it wet, muddy, full of dust, etc)
