Brown Bess Lock - Real or Repro ?

Can anyone tell me if this lock is from a 200 yr old brown bess or a modern repro ? Plate usually shows a date of manufacture.

Work has been done on the internal parts).

Modern, investment casting, even has a faulty cast on the ####. 'Engraved' lines on the lock plate are round-edged, instead of incised.

Further note-I have 3 original Bess' and none have a date stamped on the lock plate; however have had several EIC locks on the same piece type and they all had a date stamp.
