Can't find any locally, I'm looking for the kit in a red box, not the gel type ( needs to flow into tight space between barrel and a slip on scout mount ). Can anybody tell me where I can order some here in Cda. Thanks

The application is to install a Clifton Scout Scope Mount. I need a product that is runny enough to flow into tight space to bond mount to barrel. Gel type or thick products won't work. I'll order from rustywood.ca unless someone knows of another product that will work. Thanks

Go to your local boat shop and buy a fiberglass patch kit. There are all sorts of epoxy type products that will do everything you are looking for in a satisfactory manner. Your local Canadian tire store likely has something or several somethings that will work.

Go to your search engine and type in Dewdney Products. They are from the other side of the country but they do carry the red box acraglas.

The kit from the boat shop or even a Napa store will be cheaper for the small amount of product you require.

One of the best products by far, in my experience, for your application is Marine Tex. It comes in white and gray colours.

The gray is almost black when it cures, and is very strong. While it appears very stiff before mixing, it become quite fluid when the two parts are mixed together. You can get it at most marine supply stores.

I have used it many times for bedding in both synthetic and wood stocks, bedding scope bases like you are wanting to do, and recently used it again to repair a real mess on a receiver bridge. It can actually be drilled and tapped when cured, and is very resistant to solvents, even gas and diesel.
