Brownells BCG Current Status?

Anyone ordered one since all the ITAR stuff changed? I have heard you now need an end user statement but not sure.

If someone has ordered one recently I would appreciate the update.

So now barrels are exempt bolt Carrier groups are not? Weren't barrels requiring permits previously?

I haven't ordered from them since the changes (I know, I know, I'm slipping lol...) so I was wondering if they still have the $500 limit per order and if you still have to fill out the little form if it's over $100...?

Is this still the same or has it changed?

I tried to order one in Jan. It was a No GO as they are now further restricted. See below straight from brownells.


Good morning and thank you for your orders.

Am sorry, however Bolt Carrier Groups have been moved by our Dept. of State from a I(h) classification to a I(e) classification, therefore they are now deemed as regulated/restricted items and must be shipped under an export license. This ruling is new.

$500 limit still applies, no to the form for>$100 this is from experience post changes.

I am not sure, I cancelled the BCG since there was not point in paying $250 for the permit just for the BCG.

That is crazy, i ordered a BCG from them in December. Obviously all the changes where not for the better. it is due to being a Automatic BCG over semi?

Depends your order contents, shotgun parts were never heavily regulated, so u can order 2 to 300$ worth and no end user statements required. Which is the case for me last week, 870 vang comp sights, extended mag tubes and oversized safety
