Brownells, the World's Largest Supplier of Firearms Accessories and Gunsmithing Tools, is extremely pleased and proud to announce the acquisition of Sinclair International, Inc. Sinclair International is one of the most respected manufacturers and suppliers of high quality reloading tools and shooting accessories in the world. Sinclair International, located in Indiana, is in its 22nd year and provides products to customers around the world. Brownells, operating out of Iowa, is in its 68th year and also supplies customers world-wide.

The joining of these two highly-respected companies brings to the firearms world the top-quality selection of the very best products, the exceptional personal customer service and the absolute guarantee of customer satisfaction their customers expect. "It was a very natural decision," said Frank Brownell, President of Brownells, "for us to join with another very successful, highly regarded company with the same values, the same care and concern for their customers and the same quality and service standards we hold dear." Bill Gravatt, president of Sinclair remarked that, "With Brownells Sinclair will continue providing the very best products available, and will strengthen our product line for shooters of all disciplines. I’m extremely excited about the future for both companies."

Sinclair International will function as a separate entity of Brownells, and Bill Gravatt, will continue as the President of Sinclair International. The focus of Sinclair International will continue to be on providing high-quality products to their customers along with exceptional, personal customer service.

Spoke to some shooters and read some post from in the US, they hate the move. I have never had anything but good luck with Brownells, but Sinclair, they are in a league fo thier own, they are fantastic to deal with.

Yeah, Brownells wouldn't ship my M14 goodies without me applying for a few permits..bullocks!

Either will Numrich Gun Parts, welcome to 2007!:p;)
My last Brownells order arrived Monday in only 6 days, it usually takes two weeks due to Customs but this order went through unscathed. I have yet to have a problem with Brownells.

I've dealt with Sinclair on several occasions and they are outstanding to deal with. I like getting their catalogs as well.

If you will read Sinclairs information, they too have merchadise that is subject to export controls. Don't think they shipped it without a permit before; doubt that they will now.
Sinclair is continuing as a stand alone operation. Doubt that you will see any change in the quality of the operation.
Brownells is a class act; so is Sinclair.

sinclairs was great for sending stuff that didn't need permits, and very quick at doing stuff that did.

I hope things remain the same, with business as usual. Far too often, when one company that is known for its outstanding customer service, etc...(which makes it attractive to potential buyers) is bought out, the service goes in the crapper due to replacement of key personnel, different corporate cultures, etc...Brownell's is a pretty decent company, I hope they know not to screw with a good thing.

I called and ordered another ARD from Sinclair on Tuesday. I was checking my email while I was on the phone and had just recieved the email from Brownell's announcing their aquisition of Sinclair Int'l.
The guy on the phone heard about it first from me. :D
I hope nobody loses their job over this merger, and I hope customer service remains at the same level.
