I have had three shipments get cancelled or partial shipments from Brownells as of late. :(
The reason behind this is the manufacturers of ordered parts are not registered with the state dept in the USA for selling to Canada.
I requested a list of companies that have complied to the state dept regulations and have received the list from Brownells.
If your interested in the list PM me for a copy of particpating companies and I will gladly pass it on.
 
Apparently, the U.S. government seriously increased the fee for an exporter's licence. A lot of companies just wouldn't pay for it.
 
The last order I got from Brownells was 7 days to arrive, order was complete and they didn't charge me anything for shipping.

I suggest calling their 1-800 number and ask to speak to Sandy or Mischa in their International department to verify that all 'controlled' items on your order are eligle for State Dept approved and shippable to Canada.

Removes all elements of surprise as you have experienced.

I had the same thing happen with an order for springs for a sig pistol..
 
I had the same thing happen last week with my order. Ordered some cleaning patches and a Hollands oversize recoil lug. Patches were shipped but the recoil lug was cancelled.
 
That's because Hollands are not on the list of registered manufacturers.
Make a copy of "the list", refer to it when putting together an order. Remember that Brownells also observes the $100 cap, and that the item must be exportable without a specific export permit. Unless you want to go the import/export paper route.
I am looking for 10/22 tune up parts, it looks as if none of the makers Brownells carries are on "the list".
