Good day, I went to Ellwood epps a few weeks ago and they show me the Browning 1911-22, nice pistol! Back home I went to Browning internet site and I found that they made other models (polymer frame) with nice goodies: amby thumb safety, commander hammer etc. I just wonder if those parts can be installed on the standard 1911-22 alloy frame. Any info will be welcome.

Didn't know of the other models either, but I don't see why those parts wouldn't fit they...if they become available for sale is another question.

I am not positive but I believe in my reading looking for a 1911 in 22 that the browning is smaller than a standard 1911. well the gsg and sig 1911 in 22 are closer in size and parts compatibility to a standard 1911

That is absolutely right. Browning is a smaller scale (75 or 80%) replica of a 1911. The GSG and SiG copies are 100% scale and all parts are replaceable with standard and aftermarket parts.

Great gun. My wife has one and its a cool GI mini 1911 with great attention to detail. strips down like a regular 1911 too. Not sure about parts but only issue is the midget sized sights
