Browning 1911 A1 .22lr ........ MINI PISTOL?

Saw one of these this morning for sale for $499 and I must admit I didn't know they existed. They actually look pretty slick! All the same proportions of a full size 1911... just smaller, with a 4.25" barrel. Sort of like the mini Astra .22's. The same size more or less as a mini master. Although I would imagine almost no parts are interchangeable with the full size so if something breaks you may be SOL.

Anyone ever shoot one of these? How does it handle?

I've had one for 1000 rounds or so. Light as a feather, reliable. Doesn't play nice with low power or subsonic ammo. Someone else had a thread in here - many thousands of rounds, no issues.

Thanks guys, sounds like reliability is not an issue with the right ammo. Sure is a neat little pistol.
