I have the opportunity to buy a Belgiun made Browning 12 g. It's a 2 shot semi auto, takedown model.

Can any of you point me toward background on the model, please & thanks.
 
It's called a Browning Double Auto. I had a steel receiver model. It was an excellent gun. Very ahead of it's time.
 
I've been keeping my eyes out for one for a while now. No magazines makes the front end much slimmer, more like a sxs than an auto. The ones I've seen has fairly open choke. price varies depending on condition and gauges.

This gun is up to your standard Win/64?
 
Thanks Win/64. I'm getting alot better search results with Double Auto.

Still unsure of his asking price, wanted to get some background as I'd never heard of this model. The gun has seen use, would say condition is 90%. What would be a reasonable price? It is blued, not the fancy silver.
 
I have one in blued steel. Two barrel set mod. and full. They were called "Twelvettes" by browning. Coloured recievers were some type of aluminum alloy and available in blue, green, maroon, silver and dragon black. The regular blued reciever models are steel. Nice shotguns but again not steel shot compatable.
 
THY ARE A GREAT UPLAND GUN .any were from 250 to 600$ depending if it has a vent rib and the shape she is in some had very nice wood .never seen one in a 3 inch .only 2 .75 inch DUTCH
