Browning 2000 info

I have one and am looking for a stock. Grandfather left it for me and lets say he had short arms and a table saw.

I really like it. But it has a hell of a time shooting light loads. For 2-3/4 shells It likes heavy loads but anything 3" feeds great. Its a cool shotgun, loads on the left not underneath, ejects out the right. Grandpa was lefty and i think thats why he bought it, but that doesnt make much sense to me.

Good info thanks. Thanks,
One thing I learned is that the barrel is what controls how heavy, or light a load will work. The barrels have different gas porting or something like that.

U need a bbl for each shell length 2 3/4 " bbl and a 3"" bbl 70's production gun sold New for $3-$400 depending where u bought it and that is what they are worth today ? Not one of Brownings better ideas ok guns just never caught on the two bbl thing was its down fall

Not a bad gun, just a victim of bad timing market wise. Came out with fixed chokes and fixed gas ports in an era when steel shot and choke tubes were being put on the market. A friend has one, still uses it for ducks with a full choke and 3 in steel! Its sensitive to load and needs to be cleaned frequently, otherwise it has some nice features. 400 ish seems to be the going price.

Have one in 20 gauge with 26" barrel and modified choke that I picked up off the EE a couple years ago. Great gun that gets used sparingly on informal Sporting Clays and has functioned flawlessly. Fond of that gun and a keeper to pass on.

Was looking at one posted in the EE in 12 gauge with four barrels for $1300.00. Excellent condition but passed on it.

Prophet river has one in their consignment listing that has sat there a long time at the $700.00 bracket.

In VG or better condition I would put a $500.00 range on them.

Only issue is if you have any parts breakage and getting parts out of the US. Midwest Gun Works has a good supply of anything you may need.

I bought a real nice 20 gauge about 3 years ago. It was on consignment at a local gun shop for over a year at $525.00 with no takers. Bought it for $400.00 finally. Nice gun but as mentioned, it requires frequent cleaning, which is no big deal if you clean your guns.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I bought it. No screaming deal but a fair price judging by the numbers mentioned here.
