I have shot the gun a bit, and I like how it shoots. The problem is that I am fairly new to rifle shooting. I really want to focus on one shot, one kill. The semi-auto is just so easy to keep pulling the trigger. I also like the idea of having a clip to pop in and out. The semi-auto's classic design of feeding rounds into the buttstock is neat but not that practical in the field.
I just bought a browning take-down .22lr for $75 in Calgary. The stock was cracked, but nothing a bit of accuglass didn't fix. also had to reblue it.
Thinking back, it was in pretty rough shape. so, for a beat up browning, i think $75 bucks was fair. For a decent set up, you should be around the $200-350 area i think.
