Browning 243 Shorttrac accuracy?

I'm hoping to hear real positive results. As I have my heart set on a Shortrax with the oil finished stock in 308 or maybe 7mm-08. It's my guess that accuracy is gonna be the best there is from a s/a. My fingers are crossed and all hopes are positive. Please keep us posted as to what you come across for info.
Kind of funny...I just asked the same question on another forum. Come to think of it, I have about the same number of answers. Wonder what the deal is? Not many owners? Keeping a secret? People ashamed to admit they own one?

I have the Browning in 308 looking to get it in 243 as well. I have the left handed version. So far I'm pleased with it but need to do a bit more shooting to give a fair reply.
there it is and in left hand, too! I think I could down size quite a bit, if I got one of those. How long have you had it? Please PM me as to where you got it from and the price. thx.
I know a dealer that had one a while back in 243, but don't remember if it was right or left hand.

Well heck, I picked up the lefty in .243 for a wolf/yote gun when hunting bush rather than field edges.
It is now wearing a Burris Signature Safari 1.75-5 power on a Picatinny rail for the moment but I have a Leupy gold ring 3-9 on hot standby.
