Browning 825 Sporting

Hello Everyone, I am curious if anyone has tried the new Browning 825 sporting or trap shotgun? I’m weighing the options between a Beretta 694 and a Browning 825. I’ll be using it for a clay gun only. I’ve tried a 694 and found it a very nice shooting shotgun. All of my hunting and clay guns have been Browning thus far. I’d probably lean towards a 30 in barrel set.

So, I bought the Browning sporting 825 with adjustable comb. I chose it over the 694 because it was the "newer" gun when Beretta was on sale last month (15 percent off). I have shot the 694 over the last few weeks. Its a great gun and feels solid. I just feel the browning felt better to me. I don't think you can go wrong with either. You could Consider the browning 825 sporting pro (with slightly better adjustability) and decorative scroll work...

I've shot an 825 Sporting here and there over a few rounds of clays changing it up with my 725 S3. I find it feels a bit lighter than the 725 but I think its mostly in the wood density. I like the triggers, but they're not much different than my 725 to my fingers. I've got an 825 Pro Sport on order, i fell for the engraving.

I had a 694 Sporting Blast which was a great gun, but I found Browning fit me better, which has nothing to do with quality. I have a coworker selling his 825 to buy a 694 Pro Sporting after he shot one last weekend. It came down to fit, and he wants the TSK stock.

I'm still in the Browning 525, and 625 era..lol I really love the older Citori's.
I have handled the 825's, only fired a few shots out of one. They're nice alright, I just don't see the vey big differences than the 725 (my opinion) Price seems to be forever rising for the same features now on most guns. Shot the 725 a few times over it's tenure here...not a fan of the fore end shape/sharpness...or the DS chokes. (my personal preference)

RE**694...Beretta has an ongoing issue with fore ends splitting on these guns, annnd the DT 11's. The gunsmith at my LGS said they get quite a few back. More than any other manufacturer.
My sporting clays squad members have/shoot 3 of these... two of them are currently waiting on replacement stocks from Beretta ((Stoeger))...their customer service sucks ! All new guns within 3 yrs too. They have a 2 yr warranty according to the dealer, and one of the guns split 26 months after being bought ! Caveat emptor !
