Would any of you experts be willing to lend a hand in valuing this rifle for me?

To the best of my knowledge, it’s an A bolt 2.
300 win mag, stainless, and never fired a single shot. I bought it brand new back in 2015 as a gift for my old man, but he never got around to getting his PAL so it’s sat in my safe for the past 6 years. I’ve done some googling but I can’t even find out what these went for when new and I don’t recall what I paid for it.

Thanks in advance gentlemen.

In the area of 800 ish. From my perspective the limbsaver pad adds value. In today's crazy markets you might get more. If it has a 2nd mag add $50 to $75. New blued versions when they first came out were $600 ish plus tax. Stainless not sure but likely were 800 ish new, maybe even $900.

That rifle sells instantly at $800. I'm not keen on the Limbsaver, but it will go a long way toward soaking up the recoil. They are extremely well made and accurate rifles. Anyone seeking a 300WM would be wise to pick that up.

Sssh, I was going to send a pm and lowball him 😃
I bought mine back in 1989 in that configuration for $950ish, give or take another $30.00, but that was a long time ago.
Well, a year or so before the boss came out and the price went up to for A-bolt boss @ $1169.00 here in B.C.
That hockey puck of a recoil pad was quickly replaced with a soft/cushy one and it shot like the dickens.

I paid $650 for a used one that needed a good cleaning and I replaced the trigger (the one it came with was missing a piece of it). Start at $1000 and negotiate from there. Excellent rifles for sure!!
