I have been looking around for a Browning Micro in 22 Hornet and have had several dealers tell me that the A Bolt is not available anymore and is being replaced by the X Bolt. Is there any truth to this?

the original ABolt was the only good ABolt..then they had to put a sleeve over the bolt to make it drag more and less smoother to operate..then they do a mercy killing of the ABolt and replace it with something even more inferior....sounds like the accountants are running the shop...much like Winchester in 1963.........

Yes, the A-Bolt is on the way out. There will still be a few models available in 2010 but in general it is being replaced by the X-Bolt.

They do have some listed but what they list and have in stock might be two different things. I've been waiting on a Abolt medallion in 7mm since march, thats on order from Dante's and even then they told me to be patient.

Actually the A-bolt (1985-1993) was replaced with the A-Bolt II in 1994
The A-Bolt II seems to be soon to be replaced by the X-Bolt.

Try and find an A-Bolt II Micro Hunter (Browning Item Number 035020206 ). Browning still lists this as a current model with a US MSRP of $819.00 US.
