I had a couple of semi rifles coming to me but with all the snit going on now ( easy to say now, but i felt it was coming ) and somes overseas projects, i have postponed my buys indefinitly..... Instead, i was srolling tru the dealers and found 2 good deals on first, a rifle brand new Browning A-bolt ll Target 308 with 28 inch barrel and then @ Prophet got a brand new Sightron Slll 6X24X50 LRMOA ( 100 clicks of elevation ) for under a 1000.00 each to my door ( in Quebec ), so when i am back, i will try my dime challenge after that, i am gonna diggout my old 308 load 208 gr Amax and R-17 ( 28 inch should make this load a winner for LR accuracy ) and go for accurate 1000 metres shooting with my new toys... Tourlou. JP.

Just secured a steel rail Warnes from an outside dealer, no bipod for this one, bags and bags... JP.

What interresting here is the 1 in 10 twist 28 inch barrel, the glass bedded , the single set trigger, the adj cheekrest, the laminated stock, for 990.00 seem to be a lot of rifle for the money, price was cut by 350.00, sometimes you get great deals at that place on certain items, i remember paying 1200.00 for a brand new Steyr Manlicher 450 Marlin Prohunter SBS, 2 weeks before, it was selling for 1900.00... JP.

The 208 Amax is possibly thee best ogive for LR, out of my Nemesis they were launched @2600 fps (20 inch barrel), out of this 28 inch 1 in 10 barrel, i would think 2730-2750 fps could be achievable, thus making a great wind bucking bullet for great accuracy, i love being overseas but shooting is missing me... JP.

From experience as a diehard Varget, 4895 4064 and BL-C2 fan for year, when i started to use the Reloader serie, i was like a revelation in my handloading... From 150 to 180 gr, R-15 just shine in accuracy and velocity, and when i started loads with the 208 Amax for my Nemesis got a 100 fps increase from the bat using R-17, i find it to burn clean and a lot less variance from lot to lot if you compare to Varget, 4895, BL-c2 or 4064... Would not stop using the Rel. now that i know how they perform, still use a lot of BL-c2 in 223 ... JP.

Just got the information i was waiting for, this barrel never go under one inch in diameter on the full 28 inch of it.... Starting at 1.195 inch it close with the muzzle crown @ 1.035 inch, that is a lot of meat around the 1 in 10 twist... JP.
