Browning A-Bolt magazine inside length

Did a search and came up empty. Interested in a browning hunting rifle but would like the ability to seat bullets close to the lands. I know this is a big wish considering not many manufacturers allow you to do this.

The caliber in question is a 30-06, so I am guessing that the internal dimensions of the box mag for any long action browning A-bolt would be the same.

If any of you fellow nutz has a caliper and a spare 5 minutes it would be much appreciated.

An aside, if you have every come across a manufacturer that does have ample magazine length it would be great to know to expand my options.

I don't have a long-action A-bolt, but my short-action (308 Win) only allows 2.810" OAL. My preferred load measures 2.835" to the lands, so I have to seat short.
I have Tikka's in .270 win and .25-06 rem. They have lots of room in the mags to seat bullets out to the lands. .30-06 shold be OK in a Tikka

It must be in the short action length tikkas then that run into problems. I have heard 223 length in those guns is always quite short. Thanks for the post

That helps alot, I already purchased the rifle but will likely not be able to seat bullets close to the lands. My reloading books are showing 3.340 OAL which is only .040 shorter than the lengh you gave. For reliable feeding I might only get about .020" closer to the lands. Really hope this rifle has a short throat!
