In my travels today I found a Browning A Bolt micro hunter in 308 win. It is left hand just like me:D. My issue is the short length of pull of only 13 5/16". It is nice and light at 6.5lbs, nice walnut stock. The asking was $600 bases included. (brand new rifle by the way) My question is has anybody here tried this particular model ? Comments would be appreciated. I assume recoil in 308 would be noticable with the light weight and short stock.

I too have a browning a-bolt hunter in 300. wsm. It's a fantastic gun. very nice groupings.

I got one in 7-08. It is a nice light rifle. Pretty accurate too. My only small complaint is from the factory the bolt is a bit stiff, but im sure with use it will work itself in.

My one "will never sell" rifle is a Browning A-Bolt micro Medallion in .308. It's been my go-to rifle for over twenty years. It is light, accurate and very nice to handle. The length of pull suits me fine and doesn't feel short to me at all.

I love the short LOP, suits me just fine. I have Micro Medallions in 243, 257 Roberts, 7mm-08 and 308. The 7-08 has mostly been getting the nod, as of late. Although the Bob is relatively new to me and I haven't worked with it, yet.

Only downside I can see is it is a lefttie ;)
Having said that and to be serious, your concerns are founded.
The short length of pull might give a larger framed adult a bit of trouble upon recoil.
I have a micro in .22 Hornet but thats not fair comparing the recoil from the two.

Have the same rifle in a right hander for my wife. She likes it since she's fairly small. The LOP doesn't suit me but it is a very accurate rifle and she has taken several moose and quite a few deer with it. Put on a pad to adjust the LOP to suit you and you have a very handy little rifle.

I have a LH A-Bolt micro hunter in 7mm-08 it is my favorite gun in the safe.Lop has never been an issue as well as recoil.I prefer it over my Rem. model 7 7mm-08 and my Rem. 700 BDL LH 30.06.

I have a LH micro in 300wsm. I wanted the .308 but ended up with the wsm. LOP isn't an issue, I wanted it that short because of the typical late fall jacket and clothing adds to the reach. Recoil isn't an issue but I swapped the factory recoil pad for a Limbsaver. I like the gun a lot, I find the barrel a little thin and heats up easy with multiple shots which widens my groups..but that's an issue for the range only because I tend to not take a shot on game unless I'm confident that one round will do. Oh, I also swapped the spring in the trigger so my pull is now about 2lbs. Enjoy!

The recoil for the 308 should be fine. That gun isn't that much lighter than my 300 wsm and its recoil is very manageable. Shot 30 rounds one day at the range without issue. Plus, with the weight of rings and a scope...
