Browning A bolt stock question

Will a stock from a 30-06 work on a 300wm?

guessing probably will work, we did a swap with stocks from a Ruger M77 in 270 and the other was in 7mmRM, both are long action.

I don't believe it will. A fellow bought a synthetic made for a standard cartridge Browning a few years back and brought it to me to fit to his magnum. Was notably different and the stock company did not offer a model for magnums. He returned the stock as unsuitable.
