I was searching some infos or reviews on the Browning A-Bolt Target recently, can't find many. Anyone in here ever tried one? Compared to a Savage 12 series? or vs Remington 700? Could they be a good option ? Can be found
for around 1200-1300$ + tax for blued version.
Thanks!

Dang, they look pure tackdriver. I have had a micromedallion in .223 and that thing shot the lights out. Sold it to buy insurance on my big truck. Regretted in as I drove away with the cash. Anyhow, I'm tagging this for interest as they look FINE.

I had one in stainless that I sold. Bought it new and never shot it.

Never thought again about it untill this thread.

Reason I sold it was because I have a Savage in 223 that shoots awsomely. And found out I couldn't rebarrel it without potentially damaging the threads in the action.

Now I'm thinking I regret selling it................. :(

Heavy Barrel with a 1-8 twist, good good.
Dig the adjustable comb, that's handy.

28" barrel is going to need a slow powder, but you know, it's ideal for those Varget loads everyone likes.

Only thing I'm seeing that puts me off, is the location of where the stock ends in respect to the barrel length. I'd want that farther up myself for bi-pod use. I guess if you're benchresting it doesn't matter.

I think if it's got a good trigger, then it's good to go.

as a benchrester I would agree, the stock forend looks AWFULLY SHORT,

also the stock looks far too rounded for my liking remember it is a TARGET model (their words) not mine,

and my friend, Oscar Makonka (code name for James Bond) says the Brownings are not known for their accuracy, (and I still want a coyote in dark dark brown laminate and currently am negotiating with an owner in a .223 for more than they normally sell for)

so I want one in a coyote old style dark brown model but do not think for 1 minute it will be a tack driver, I just like the looks and the bolt is nice to cycle,
