Browning A5 16 gauge in 2 9/16

Looking for anyone who has an early production (1930s) humpback Browning 16 gauge chambered in 2 9/16.
Has anyone machined out the ejection port to accommodate the 2 3/4 shells?

What are they worth these days?
It is in minty shape.
 
The process to convert a 2 9/16" gun to 2 3/4" is a little more involved than simply opening the ejection port. Do a google search on the subject. If in minty shape as described I would seek out the proper short cartridges for it. As for value options and features would make it easier to guess. Lately I have seen some stupid prices on these old turn of the century (the other one) shotguns.

Hmmm. I appreciate the skill and expertise at work in the video. But I also ask myself, "just because you can do it, should you?" Lengthening chambers and forcing cones on a Belgian-designed and built A-5 is not the same as doing so on an over-built American double. The gun will be out of proof. That might mean nothing this side of the Atlantic, but ignoring safety concerns because it is inconvenient raises my alarm flags. All for the sake of having a few more off-the-shelf cartridge options? No thanks, I prefer the original staying original.

But what do I know? I'm just a keyboard/armchair king! (I can't resist using my new title)

To each their own I agree, to a point.
But, there was a thread that I could not find readily that the member was looking for such information.
Besides Art was the Browning guy back in the day and is considered a guru to some and less than that by others.
Just, thought I would pass on some information for those who like to tinker.

Some currently available 16 gauge ammunition labeled 2 3/4 inch is actually 2 9/16.
I've been told that Aguila and possibly Winchester are shorter length. Old stock Black Remington game loads in 16 gauge were 2 9/16 or less.
There's no need for modification of an old 16 gauge Auto 5 with selected ammunition.
 
first it has been shooting 2 3/4" shells since 1935 so now it needs to be changed ??
on a second note do not open the chamber with a long forcing cone reamer use a 23/4" chamber reamer and it will be fine second you do not have to open the ejection port on old auto 5's the way the hulls are ejected energy and angle it will be fine
as far as value they are not worth any thing close to what people think they are worth
we are not in kansas toto and even there the market is soft
that particular version 750/1150
a vent rib clean gun 50'-80's vintage 1000-1500$ maybe
