Browning A5 Identification

Hello CGN,

Looking for some Browning A5 identification help. Pick this up today but the serial range is outside any I can see listed online.

Browning A5 12 GA 2 3/4. Belgium Marked.

See pictures below. I did some browsing online and someone suggested it was SAC High Grade Series? I am not sure what that is.

Thanks for the reply. Is this A5 made in 1958? The serial number is outside the range of serial number listed online.

Ok, I gotta ask, what makes it a European Market Browning?

Some came over awn the Pinta, Nina oar Santa Maria.
Call Browning and they'll look up the serial number for you.
Had run into this before where the 'net dint help with the serial #'s.

The European market guns usually had no engraving other than then Browning name and figure head. Also had swivels factory installed.

If it was a gun sold here it would be 8M1037, for a standard weight gun; so euro could be right, via blue book.
I can't read the barrel markings light weight would be 8G This is all for later 1958, early 1958 would be a M, but the # don't add up right for that series.
