Browning A5 lightweight 12

What’s a 1969 Browning A5 lightweight 12 sell for in 90% condition sell for? The wood is high gloss, but plain, with chequering. 28” barrel with modified choke.

I sold one this spring in about 85-90% condition that had all new springs. Sold it for $500.00. I had it listed for a bit more with no interest.

Here we go the speculation pricing it's apparent that people do not pay attention to the market at this time which is about 50% below very weak Then advertise a gun that has nostalgia appeal but really low market value A5's model12's Wingmaster's a ss a few other makes oh superpose's crap is king akar , Canuck , hasten . Revelation all could be bought for 299-699$ that is 95% of the market sales

I understand man. I also have a similar A5 from 1953. I feel struff55 although hard to decipher is right.

Yes, a lot of the older people who like the quality of the old Browning Auto 5's and Model 12's are either passing on ,or getting out of the firearm interest,due to age.The younger buyers do not for the most part ,enjoy or understand the great old blued and wood finish on these old guns.The last gun to be introduced and made in the old style with steel,nice bluing and wood finish, was the Winchester Super-X Model 1.Like the Auto 5 and Model 12,it is long gone as well.

Interesting to learn about the Winchester Super-X Model 1 and Model 12. I will be on the look out for them.

The Super X Model 1 and Model 12 are great firearms.Its too bad that most of today's younger buyers know nothing at all about them.All steel , wood, hand fitted construction.Both were victims of great quality and increasing coats.It is said that Winchester never made a profit on any of the Super X Model 1 shotguns they made.They were all steel and wood ,with high quality build,so they sold for more then the Remington Model 1100 with its cheap stamped parts,with which it had to compete.The Super x Model 1 sold for about $75.00 more at the time.A lot of money back in the 1975 to 1981 era they sold in. From what I understand, only some where between 85,000 and 87,000 Super x Model 1 guns were manufactured.

The Model 12 was a well built shotgun.It is said ,that nobody ever wore out a Model 12.They were that well built.A little under ,2,000,000 were made between 1912 and 1963.
