What would I expect to pay for a Browning A5 magnum with choke tubes?

Would such a shotgun only be Japanese made or can you get a steel compatible Belgian made one with tubes?

I don't mind either, I'm just asking.

I'm not talking about a pie in the sky over-inflated EE or gun show asking price either.

I'm talking about a real world value.

I'm not desperate either. I have two good Browning and one Remington waterfowling shotguns but as I really like my 1964 Browning A5 2 3/4-inch shooting semi-auto I'm curious about the A5 magnum. I might see one at the next big gun show I go to and I know those guys often post asking prices in the stratosphere so I was wondering what the fair price for the buyer and seller is.

For example, I paid $150 for my current A5 and $550 for my used Browning Gold.

From what I've seen, price wise you're probably in the neighbourhood of what you paid for your Gold. I paid that for a Jap gun with a fixed Modified barrel, but it was in very good + plus condition and for me choke tubes are just another thing to lose most of the time :p

Jap barrels are steel approved. There's no problem sticking a Jap barrel on a Belgian gun and firing away with steel.

Browning recommends NOT shooting steel through Belgian guns, but of course you hear from people they've been doing it forever with no ill effects. http://www.browning.com/customerservice/qna/detail.asp?ID=128
