Browning A5 Value?

My friend sold me a rifle, gun cabinet, and this shotgun for 100$ total.
I know it doesn't cycle, you have to use it manually.... I haven't looked into it.
What is the value if I got that fixed, roughly? I don't really want it, so I figure maybe i'll clean it and see if it cycles and then sell it.

By the looks of the rust on the barrel, it won't have a very high value. Plus if you can't get it functioning properly it will be even less.

They are built like a Swiss tank. Don't be so quick to get rid of it. It could be a very simple 1 minute fix.

Does the barrel recoil freely into the receiver?

Okay thanks. I'll see how it does. It was my friends grampas. I'm not even sure how it shoots I know he used the cheap winchester shells but I haven't fired it.

It's not that hard to look up on the set how to set the rings up for light or heavy loads. Probably just needs a good cleaning. They are awesome shotguns. Even the old ones (pre-steel shot) can be opened up to modified and used for waterfowling. Mine; a 1964 model shoots great.
