Browning AB3 Bolt Disassembly

I am thinking your thinking is off...

Possibly, but how much strike force does a firing pin need for reliable detonation? At the very least, if Browning's spring is correctly rated, why not use a double cam design like some other gun manufacturers to make short throw bolt action less arduous? If I need a winch to open the bolt on cocking, where's the advantage of the short throw? Anyway, having owned and operated other A-Bolts before this AB3, I can say that, IMO, there is definitely some kind of issue with either this specific rifle or Browning's new bolt design. Interested in your thinking however...

Thanks, FLHT, but it's a different bolt design on the AB3. I think, however, that the information contained in the video regarding the capture of the indicator in a vice will work on this one. :)

I do not own an AB3 let alone messed with one and google was pretty skimpy on information.
All claimed to be similar to the next bolt design, but there was a good diagram thread on the Browning web site for the ABII's.
