So, Browning has decided to roll out a line of ammunition including rimfire, centerfire and shot gun shells (select calibers for now).

It will hit the shelves in the US this spring (2016).

Once I saw the notice (can check out the link here http://browningammo.com/ ) I dropped an email to my Browning rep to see if we would see it on our side of the border.

He said "YES", just not until 2017...

Oh well, at least there should be some reviews from the various writers in the US before it actually hits our shelves...

Didn't they have ammo many years ago. Looked it up and yes they did make or sell ammo years ago. This new stuff is made by Winchester but with odd bullet weights.

I can remember Browning shotgun ammo from when I started bird hunting in Saskatchewan 42 years ago.
We helped a hunter from Texas get out of a mud patch and he gave us a couple boxes of 12 ga, #8 shot.

Looks like it is being manufactured by Olin (Winchester).

No indication yet if this will be a new "recipe" or just Winchester in a nickel case/lubalox bullets (CF) and Black hulled shotgun shells with the Buck Mark on it.

Winchester Ammunition has the rights to the Winchester name. They have given the rights to the same company that owns Browning to use the Winchester name on firearms.Winchester Ammunition is owned by Olin Corp.not by the company that owns Browning.

If you read about it you will find it's made by Winchester but will have all different bullet weights and such not offered by Winchester. So it will be totally Browning ammo.
