She is in very good cond small safe kisses
has been in storage since early 50's was used to hunt with prior to that
What would be a conservative estimate on price

Plain barrel with a bead on a ramped platform
no engraving
 
thy seem to sell between 300$ and 500$ ,magnums with vent ribs and choke tubes bring more were plain jane guns can bring less condition plays a big part ,pictures would help .I have seen a mint 20g magnum sell for near 1000$ ...hope this gives you some idea Dutch

For $100.00 tied up in it I'd hang onto it. I picked up a 1953 version this winter with an extra Japanese vent rib barrel. Opened the vent rib barrel to modified, got a synthetic stock from a forum member and I'm going to try it out on ducks this fall!

And it will run and function with the best of them.
Might not be as fast as the $$ ''B'' guns, but it will take ducks and geese as good as the next.

What is the length of the barrel? And what choke is the barrel? Sounds like you have a Savage made Browning A5. The best examples of A5s are the ones made in Belgium between 1954 to 1974. Early to mid 1960s are the best examples of these shotguns with a fair to excillent value of $400 to $1000. I just picked up a 1960 for $500 and a 1963 for $800. A Savage made A5 is in good to very good condition is $300 to $350. Add $50 for a 30" full coke barrel or add $100 plus for a 32" full choke barrel.

Yeah, I looked at that. It had a piece out of the forearm with a crack running a fair length, the bluing was quite marked up and the stock had a number of dings and was possibly refinished. Still, it was a cheap shooter at $300.00 shipped and probably had a lot of use left in it.
 
I sold an unfired Belgian Auto 5 from 1953/4 (depends on which chart you read) for $700 to a fellow who sort of collects Brownings. He burned the hair on his hand getting his money out of his pocket. :p They are really neat shotguns. Deanner and I currently have a Springfield 745B (clone).
