Ron Smith can do you a barrel up, or I maybe I will just buy another from Old badger in 22/250 and sell you that one!
I love those rifles, but have rebarreled all mine with RKS barrels.
They shoot well right on out to 1K
Here are two, a 6.5/284 with a fluted 24" barrel, and a 6.5WSM wildcat with a 28" straight tapered barrel.
Both are gain twist

The lower one is only a 6X Leupold!
The upper one, of course is a large scope that we brought into Canada with 3 others like it when they were selling off at Midway.
We could still buy scopes through them at that time.
This was 2001 I think.
They were such a great scope both Old Badger and myself figuree we should have bought 10 of them!
We have only one left that is on OB's 338 Lapua.
He went less than MOA with it at 1K from prone position the first time he shot that rifle, and it is the same scope that I have shot many 3 shot groups of less than .5MOA at 1k with the particular B78 in the pic.
Great scopes.

I talked to a fellow in the states who has a bunch of NOS B-78 stuff, including barreled recievers (bare recievers, no guts). I can't remember his name but I got his info from Western Gun Parts IIRC. Nice guy to talk to, and very knowledgeable.
No sweat at all.
The top rifle was originaly a .308, and the bottom one was a 6mm Remington.
Paul Reibin is the one who I strongly recommend , he does all my serious rifle work for me.
His number is (250) 372 7030.
Fast turnaround time and super work.
I guess I am kindaa drawn to single shots, yup!
Have a few brownings that are not in that particular pic, come to think of it, and my Snider and
577/450 martini !
