Browning Bar or Benelli Ri

R1 if you want to take it down for cleaning once in awhile, trigger on my R1 is really good, rifle took 100 rounds to settle in before it was MOA, I would buy another one.

I’ll second the R1, great design, easy maintenance, nice balance, light and mine shot 1.5 MOA without much experimentation. BARs are great guns but a notch behind in the above categories in for me. The BAR crowd will be along shortly to vigorously defend it against the Euro trash upstart šŸ˜‰

Never owned a Benelli, but 6 Bar Safari now. Easy to take down and clean. Every one 1.25 moa or better, two much better.

Bar has been around much longer, got lumped in with the Remington for lack of reliability and accuracy. Not true in my experience. In the used market the Bar is 2/3 the price.

If it helps, that R1 I got was $999 new from coastal outdoors. Not sure they are still in business, website has been down for a while.

Browning is the better looking rifle, by far. But Benelli is easier to take apart to clean, equally reliable. Benelli comes with spacers that adjust how the stock fits. Not sure about the browning. My vote goes to the Benelli. But honestly I don’t think either would be a bad choice.
