I came by a great deal on this rifle. It is in excellent shape (bluing is near flawless, bore is beautiful) other than 2 cracks on either side of the stock where it interfaces with the receiver. I have never seen this on a BAR before. Not sure what happened exactly. It's as if the wood when fitted was a bit proud and then eventually someone got carried away on the tourque! Anyway I am wondering what to do. Sell it cheap? Take it off and repair with glue? I would love to find a replacement stock as the rifle would basically be mint with a new stock. They seem really hard to find though! Functionally the stock is fine. No movement or wiggle at all so I could just leave it as is. It screams at me to make it new though!20200707_192216.jpg

I honestly have never had good luck dealing with them. They would not sell me some Browning SA22 parts as I was not a gun smith. So I had to get them from Brownells. I sent them an email again though! I guess we shall see.
