My first gun. My dad bought my brother and I matching ones when we were 6 and 9.

Love em. They are a little short for my current size, but for kids and smaller guys they would be perfect. Super accurate.
 
I just picked one up (Grade I) dated 1981 which I liked because it's the same age as me. I've only taken it out once so far but it liked everything I fed it. It was missing the rear sight when I bought it but I discovered the rear sight from my 10/22 was a perfect match! For $325, I think I did alright.

When it comes to dry-firing, do most people count their shots so they know when to stop or is dry-firing pretty much harmless?
 
This was my very first firearm:)
Got it for my 14th birthday in the 80's. It has taken many grouse and is still going strong!
It is not quite as accurate as the browning semi 22 that I have, (but it shoots minute of grouse head at 30 yards); and it doesn't like to feed hollowpoints. But it is my favourite.
 
I bought one last summer..... The high grade model with the silver reciever, fancy scroll work and checkered walnut.....

I plan to give it to my son some day, its still NIB locked up in the cabinet. The boy was about 3 days old when I bought it! I figure when he can say the word 'gun' I will take him out and show him how to shoot it...... :)

that's how my dad did it!
 
i have a bl22 with a 1.5x4.5 realist:cool:.i am having trouble with the firing pin return spring though.10% of the time it offers nothing to the hammer so i guess i have to take it apart.beautiful little gun with lots of pieces:eek:
 
Yep - got one. My first "personal" .22 back in 1980 or so. Dad bought it for my 10th birthday, just before hunting season and hid it under the couch. I still remember the surprise, and it's still my favorite gun now.

I always liked how it felt, and I think it's a great little bush whacking gun too.

I have one and when I got it I had a Marlin 39 as well so took them both out to the range for some sxs action, the marlin now belongs to some one else. FS
 
My wife has one, my dad has one, my brother has one and my sister has one! Therefore I refuse to have one! Beautiful little rifles that everyone seems to enjoy, I guess I'll just have to keep using my Cooper:)
