Browning bl-22

I've recently changed what .22 I'm seeking from a SR-22 to BL-22. Drastic change, I know. Do many of you guys have/shoot these? Are they worth the extra over say, a henry?

Also I'm not asking anyone to go on a hunt for me, but has anyone seen a grade 2 bl-22 around? I've seen a grade 1 at a bigger retailer (online) but no grade 2's at all. I keep hearing "we have no idea what is coming in or when."

You know, I was DEAD SET on a BL-22... but then the short throw lever really put me off... I now think I'm gonna go for the Henry... It cheaper in price, and from what I have heard, the Henrys are just a smooth and reliable as the browning...

The Grade 2 BL-22's are very nice though... I have not seen one recently.... Just Grade 1's

I have had a bl 22 for over 30 years and still love it.

Do what I did, buy both! I love both of them and I have the grade II BL-22. I was looking for a grade I, but I'm now glad I got the grade II, it's a nice touch.

What's the difference between the Grade I and Grade II? Just cosmetic, isn't it?

Yeah pretty much. But I have the gold trigger on my shotgun... And I'm kinda OCD.

Yep, grade 2 has checkerd stock, and engraved receiver...

I don't have any experience with the Henry but I have a BL 22 and really really like it.
It's action is silky smooth and tight but not too stiff. Just feels right to me.
