Browning BL22, Marlin 39A or a Henry Golden Boy

They are telling the truth. The Marlin 39A is in high demand and the factory is only making limited runs of the rifle. Combine that with US/Canada border issues and you could be waiting for quite a while.

Lots of good 2nd hand 39A's kicking around too. They are built to last several lifetimes, in fact I'd rather have an older one without the cross bolt safety and rebounding hammer anyway.

I've put up a thread asking is anyone here has a Marlin 39A but no one has come forward so I'd have to get a new marlin 39A. I've not yet looked at joining a club yet. Kamloops has three clubs but one of them you become a member of the BCWF automaticly I believe. My paper work is pretty much ready to be sent in just waiting for the picture to get finished as we're doing our own on our Photo Printer. Saves us some money, enough to purchase some extra ammo to play with when we get our license to purchase our guns.

Time to pickup the phone and call around. Somebody's bound to have one, but it may not be at the SIR price. My local shop had a new Marlin 39A a couple of years ago priced at $700! (and it sold!)
