Looking for some information on the Browning BLR .257 Roberts. When were these rifles introduced and discontinued?I am not sure but I believe they were introduced in 1983 and manufactured only in the Model 81 version of the BLR.Is this correct?

Also does anyone own and use one of these rifles? If so how do they like it?

I used to own one in that caliber, missed an 8 pt buck with it once and came home and sold it to Doug. My guns don't get a second chance, hahahaha.

HEY, I think I bought that from DOUG...awsum rifle & caliber!

If you got it from Doug and he sold it cause he couldn't find a load it liked (picky guy) then thats the one. Should have a small scuff on the left hand side of the buttstock from where it fell at my tree stand one day. Bought that gun brand new here in town and went back a few years later to see what it was worth to sell used and he told me they never made a BLR in 257 Bob. I told him I bought it from his gun shop some years earlier and he still didn't believe me.
