Just bought a BLR in 308, I have been playing around with a few different factory loads and grains, haven't found exactly what I'm looking for yet, so what are other people using for factory loads that they are happy with ? Gun is used for deer hunting nothing much more than 300 yards. Also interested on people's thoughts on getting trigger work done ? I have been reading mixed reviews.

If Browning made nawn lawyer'n triggers, they'd be up on prawfits.
Not sure whom awffers up trigger adjustments awn BLR's any more.
Tedious way to try and make a buck.

Having troubles posting picture, but I'm around 2" groupings at 100 yards. That was best I could get today with federal premium 165 grain, couldn't put more than 3 rounds down the barrel and it would start to get hot and wander.

That'll do the trick. Stick with that load and go hunting.

Or learn to reload.

I had a Belgium blr and 1.5 inches was the best I could get it to do even with reloads. Factory Winchester silver tips (the old ones) in 180gr were the best for that gun and claimed dozens of moose and deer. The barrel would heat up fast and by 3 shots it started to wander pretty good.

This may be the best it will do, it is not a target rifle and has a two peace stock, anything under 2 inches will be fine for hunting. As far as heating up it has a thin barrel and will heat up fast.

Ill check to see what i use.

I had the same problem with mine. It took about 6 or 7 different brands and weights of ammo but I found mine. It went from about 3.5-4" groups to about 1" group just by switching and finding ammo. Pics will follow tomorow

Here it is. Federal Fusion. I use the 180 grain. It has significantly increased my groupings. I hope this helps
