Browning BLR in .308?

Sling...

Has anybody ever installed the uncle mikes sling kit for the BLR? Im talking about the one that replaces the bolt at the front of the front stock. I know you would have to drill a sling stud into the rear stock. I am wondering how well the front bolt goes in and how solid and sturdy it is.

Anybody have any pictures they can post of this?

I bought one for my daughter

I bought the BLR 308 for my daughter and its perfect for her. She has made 4 one shot kills on deer and last year took a nice little bull moose with it. While I was never much of a 308 fan before I don't know why. This is a solid little rifle, easy to use , accurate.

All in all it's been great.

I have one and it is my primary deer gun. I love it, I have one of the older ones with a straight grip stock as well and it is a beautiful gun. It is light weight, fast action and very accurate. At 100m i can maintain 3-4" groups standing provided I do my part. I have shot mine rested out to 300m and was getting pie plate size groupings which I believe to be very good for a hunting rifle with iron sights. Love the gun and would highly recommend one.

The BLR rifle in 308 Win. is absolutely an excellent bush gun and more! The 308 is very close in power and reach to the 30-06, and the accurate & fast handling BLR is easy to carry and a joy to shoot. I have one for sale if you are interested. I live in Toronto. John 647-969-1382
