My BLR in .308 does the same thing. You can monkey with the ears at the top of the clip to help the feeding, and keep it to 3 in the clip. If you really want 4, drop one in the chamber, then pop in the clip with 3.
The last gun show I was at they wanted $200 for a USED (well used) clip. The guy at the next table laughed and said he just sold his last one for $300.
I think Im going to keep this one in the safe, and pick up a new Ruger.
