Dad has a BLR in 30-06 that I moose hunted with for about 5 years before getting my first rifle, and I also have a BLR in 308 as a bush-beating gun. The only issue I ever had was with one of the mags on the 30-06, the spring got a bit weak and would jam the 2nd or 3rd round occasionally. Otherwise both have been flawless. Except when the ####ty see-thru rings on my 308 got loose, and I couldn't figure out why after emptying 2 mags at a deer the damn thing was still standing! Live and learn...
