Browning BLR with Peep Sight?

My wife used the 'fire sight' on her BLR along with a Williams 'Fool Proof'. It worked excellent for her, except that I ended up ordering a pack of replacement fibers off Amazon for the front sight.
If we still had the rifle, I'd look at cutting a hole in the top of a front sight hood to help protect that sight. Her breaking that front fiber was an annual event.
All of my lever guns wear peep sights.
That aperture is just enough of an aid to old guy eyes that I can see the front sight clearly using them.

The fibres are that fragile eh? I've been starting to wonder about that too after breaking it. The Marbles one was alot smaller than I thought it would be.

Hmmm maybe I'll get a backup steel sight with brass bead incase the fibre busts.

I used the lo-pro skinner as a back-up with the primary sighting system being the Burris 2-7 scout in QD Warne rings. Works great. This little BLR in 358 Win shoots 158 grain .357 cal Hornady XTP Bullets at 3000 FPS with R7. I find mine really likes the standard fair 200 grain Hornady SP Bullets. It shoots most 3 shot groups into 1.25-1.5 inches so more than good enough with the scout scope.
