just got a blr .308 cal with the serial # 10788k57 with the extended mag ..does anybody know the date it was made ..thanks for looking

Any chance you transposed your last two digits.
10788K75 would make it a 1975 Made in Japan model. As your serial reads it would have been built in 1957 about 12 1/2 years before the first one came off the line
10778 would be the serial

thank you for the infos ..i checked the serial # with a magnified glass and the # is stamped 10788k57 ..and yes it was made in Japan ..mistake was maybe made when they stamped the serial number ..
